With the Bucks freshly eliminated, speculation is already swirling around Giannis Antetokounmpo. Will he leave? Will he stay? Fans are left in suspense, and his wife’s latest Instagram post certainly doesn’t clear things up.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was just 26 years old in 2021 when he led the Bucks to an NBA title. He was coming off back-to-back MVP seasons and a Defensive Player of the Year award. It’s a bitter reality, and the situation isn’t improving. Doc Rivers no longer seems like the coach to match Giannis’ ambitions, Damian Lillard just tore his Achilles tendon, and the front office has no promising young players to offer in trades.

That’s why Giannis’ time in Wisconsin might come to an end this summer. At 30, he may want to spend the final years of his prime with a team that can fully maximize his talents. While Bucks fans are in despair, Mariah Antetokounmpo’s latest post might offer a glimmer of hope for the optimists.

Just minutes after her husband’s latest playoff elimination, Mariah posted a picture with their children on the Fiserv Forum court, all dressed in Bucks gear. It shows that Giannis isn’t the only one attached to the franchise, and any departure would be a family decision. Signs that give hope to some fans, but resignation to others:
